"Minor ball registration - Saturday morning at the fairgrounds in Aylmer saw an extended registration of the Aylmer Minor Baseball Association. One of those registering was Dale Wood[,] 14, of 572 Talbot Street East in Aylmer. League President Don Campbell (seated) says there will be another extended registration next Saturday morning from 10 to noon. League play will start this Wednesday, May 21, at 6:30, when the Aylmer peewee baseball team plays Ingersoll at the fairgrounds. Prior to the game Aylmer Mayor Forrest Moore will throw out the first ball." (8a)

Caption from St. Thomas Times-Journal on October 7, 1950, page fourteen: “St. Thomas Girls’ Commercial League Campions.” 1_848: “MY Lady’s Hat Shoppe captured the Sanderson Trophy and championship of the St. Thomas Girls’ Commercial Softball League by defeating the Clevite girls, 19-8, in the third and deciding game of the finals. For the champs Barbara Burrell pitched and Pat Sullivan caught with Irene Lovelock and Pat Sullivan pitching for Clevite and M. Faulkner behind the plate. Caldwell, Towers, and Newman of the Hatters hit home-runs and Grace Millet was the leading hitter for the losers. The champions shown above are as follows: Front row, left to right – Marion Neale, Shirley Park, Betty Leverton, Marion Draper, Doreen McCaw, Beatrice Neale.
