Scope and Content
Aerial view of the McCredie farm near Lyons, Ontario, including a brick house and and a circular barn. The house was built in 1908 by Mr. Wilson McCredie, proprietor of the McCredie Brick & Tile Yard, using bricks from his foundry located across the road from the house. The barn was built in 1911 and was demolished because of damage on August 22, 1980. Thomas Coleman helped build the barn. The property was originally a 350 acre farm.

Two black-and-white photographs featuring the tobacco harvest on Alex Nacevitch's farm, on July 28, 1977.
R13 S3 Sh6 B2 213a was published in the West Lorne Sun on July 28, 1977, with the caption: "Tobacco harvesting got underway Tuesday when the first kiln was "pulled" on the Alex Nacevitch farm. Back St., by this crew of Chris VanDongen, Walter Baranowski, Jerry Wojik, Ian Fleming, Mark Ferris and George Lebedz. The farm has some excellent tobacco, but Wednesday some of it was disced under because of recent hail damage. Several other tobacco growers on both sides of the Kerr Road from the 5th Con. to Churchville, have disced theirs as well, while others hope to prime some. Clauses in insurance determines which course growers take. An estimated $200,000 in insurance claims have been reported paid growers in storm's path."
