Scope and Content
Six black-and-white negative photographs featuring an art class sponsored by Fanshawe College, and hosted at West Elgin Secondary School, on December 14, 1978.
R13 S3 Sh6 B2 373a was published in the Rodney Mercury on December 14, 1978, with the caption: "Magda Kriter displays one of her oil paintings completed recently in night art classes being held every Wednesday night at WESS sponsored by Fanshawe College. Instead of scenery for her second painting, she has chosen still life - asters in a vase with a shaded background from light yellow at the top to rusty yellow at the bottom. Class members marvel at Magda's capabilities in not only being able to paint scenes with almost photographic excellence, but at the short times she takes to complete a painting of such quality."
R13 S3 Sh6 B2 373c was published in the Rodney Mercury on December 14, 1978, with the caption: "Part of the art class taking Wednesday night lesson at school in WESS sponsored by Fanshawe College, are: James Black, Graham Vogan, Instructress Mrs. Schulist of London, Mrs. Mike Mooser, Mrs. Bob Graham and Mrs. Bill Patterson receiving instruction from Mrs. Margaret Evans."
R13 S3 Sh6 B2 373f was published in the Rodney Mercury on December 14, 1978, with the caption: "Mrs. Bill Patterson of Dunwich, tries to get the proper perspective of the picture she is painting at Fanshawe College's night classes at WESS, from a colored picture at the top, while assistant art instructress, Mrs. Margaret Evans, gives pine trees a critical eye before making recommendations on how to make them more realistic."

Scope and Content
Photograph, featuring Dr. Robert Bandeen, president of Canadian National Railways, and a native of Rodney, while he was honored by the Kiwanis Clubs of West Lorne and Rodney at a special dinner held at the secondary school. Captioned: "Admiring the painting of his townline home, painted as it was when he lived there, are Mrs. Bandeen and Dr. Bandeen. The water colour was the gift from the Rodney and West Lorne Kiwanis Clubs and was painted by a lady artist from Ayr. Althought she visited the farm on a dull, wet day in Febraury to make the preliminary sketch, the painting was completed in fall colours, and with some changes sought, by the recipient's father, who suggested the finished product be as his son would recall the home and lawn when he lived there 25 years ago - without the TV aerials and spirea and lilac bushes in their former locations."
