Physical Description
1 photograph : b&w negative ; 4 x 4 cm
Scope and Content
One black-and-white negative photograph featuring Joe Blain in his garden, on July 10, 1975.
W9 B7 104 was published in the West Lorne Sun on July 10, 1975, with the caption: "Joe Blain's Wardsville garden is the best he has ever had because it is the site of the Village's former stock yeard. However, he admits weather has had something to do with it too. For over a month he has been using vegtables and giving many away to neighbors and friends. Right now he is picking from his third patch of peas, using potatoes, and tomatoes will be ripe soon. Not enjoying the best of health, Joe says he enjoys gardening for exercise, although next season he intends to reduce the 30 by 90-foot garden because it produces more than the family can eat and he can give away."
