Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published September 9, 1981 with caption:" Orwell blacksmith Earnie Murphy tacks a new shoe on Lambeth race horse breeder Russ Perry's three-year-old mare. Blacksmithing survived the age of the automobile, Mr. Murphy said, because of the growth of the track animal business. Horse shoes might be mass produced these days, but nothing has replaced elbow grease at the anvil, said Mr. Murphy."
