Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published August 29, 1953 with caption: "Fatal Wreck Scene - Jean Marilyn Locke, of 54 1/2 Mitchell Street [St. Thomas], was almost instantly killed and Allen Carr, 20, of 12 Burrows Avenue [St. Thomas], was injured on Saturday morning when the car in which they were riding was in collision with an London & Port Stanley train on Concession 13 of Yarmouth Township. The wrecked car is shown in the photo with a southbound L. & P.S. waiting to get by. The northbound train which was involved in the collision had been moved when the picture was taken." Tow truck operated by Harold Stuart & Son, Talbotville is visible in the photograph.

Woman standing at car is believed to be Mrs. Harbourne Lamble, who drove it to London (C8 Sh5 B1 F15 6g); "Comfort For Parents - Friends and relatives comfort Mr. and Mrs. Roy Haney outside the Port Stanley Town Hall just after they had received word that their son was missing. Published with caption: "Haney's Boat Returned - In the yard behind the house at 24 Oak Street [St. Thomas] of Roy Haney, left above, stands the ill-fated outboard motorboat owned by his son, Stanley Reginald, which figured in the tragic accident on Lake Erie off Port Stanley Saturday night. The boat had been taken to London shortly after being brought to harbor by 'Hap" Lamble, of London, but was toted back to Port Stanley late Monday afternoon and turned over to Mr. Haney by a Customs officer. Seen examining the extensively damaged boat is LeRoy Haney, another son of Mr. Haney."
