Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published April 22, 1970 with caption: "50th Birthday - The Belmont Oddfellows celebrated their 50th anniversary last night at the Oddfellows Hall in Belmont, marking a half-century of community work as well as good fellowship. Seen here from left to right are: Elmer Barons, presented with 50-year membership pin; Norm Taylor, receibing 50-year pin; William Hughes, charter member; Charles Hutchison, past grand master; Ed Coventry, charter member; Tom Jenkins, charter member; Cecil Barons, charter member. Under the club's cancer, polio and tuberculosis program, wheelchairs, hospital beds, crutches and other such equipment purchased by the club has been loaned out hundreds of times during the past 20 years".

Two others received pins to mark 70-year memberships. Standing at the rear, from the left are: William Barons, Norman Taylor, Ed Coventry; seated are Ercell Laur, William Cornish, and William Hughes Both Mr. Cornish, 91, and Mr. Hughes, 88, received the 70-year pins. Members of the Lodge plan to hold a pancake supper on Tuesday evening, Feb. 19".
