Talking with Mayor Fanjoy is Don Faw, 34 Gladstone Avenue [St. Thomas], left, and Alan Taylor, 455 Elm Street [St. Thomas]. Mayor Fanjoy was rejected as a blood donor yesterday due to an infection" (C8 Sh5 B1 F24 28a); "Happy Donates - Happy the Elf, who has been distributing Christmas cheer in St. Thomas on behalf of the Board of Trade for the past three weeks, visited the blood donor clinic at Central United Church Wednesday. Giving out gifts and generally spreading cheer was his purpose, but he also took time out to donate blood" (C8 Sh5 B1 F24 28b); "Even Santa - A special visitor at yesterday's blood clinic at the Central United Church was Santa Claus. Besides donating blood, Santa had a chance to talk to some eager youngsters. The assistants were making sure Santa was alright, while the children were checking up on the assistants to make sure nothing happened to him" (C8 Sh5 B1 F24 28c).
