"Sorry about that - A Winnipeg city bus driver looks puzzled as he inspects damage to Liberal leader Pierre Trudeau's campaign plane Thursday after the bus collided with its wing. The bus was carrying reporters. Trudeau was not on the plane or the bus at the time of the accident." (12a)
"The icing on the cake - Pierre Trudeau was not around to accept this Valentine's cake from the Elgin Liberal Association at St. Anne's Parish Centre. The Liberal leader was slated to appear for a rally, but plane problems necessitated the cancellation of the appearance, making a lot of Liberals unhappy." (12b)

(Bud) Olson took to the platform Saturday to answer questions on farm policy about 35 members of the National Farmers' Union held up placards protesting the government's stand. "Together - Prime Minister Trudeau and Harold Stafford, Elgin Liberal MP, are seen together this morning in front of Liberal headquarters on Talbot Street." (4a)
"Rousing Welcome - A huge crowd estimated by police to be 3,500 people lined Talbot Street this morning to get what was probably their first glimpse of Prime Minister Trudeau. Mr. Trudeau gave a short speech to the placard-waving audience and told them there would be a strong federal government. Many of the crowd stood under a hot sun for more than 40 minutes waiting to hear Mr. Trudeau speak. Following the speech, he travelled to Aylmer and then on to Simcoe and Brantford." (4b)

Mrs. Hepburn was among the group of supporters greeting Mr. Nixon on his visit to St. Thomas on Tuesday afternoon. The Liberal leader spent some time greeting and chatting with supporters both on Talbot Street and in a residential area in south St. Thomas. The Nixon and Hepburn families have long been close friends."
