Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published June 17, 1974 concerning an automobile accident that killed Mrs. Eula Merle Wintermute, 75, 225 Main Street, Belmont, Ontario. Published with caption: "Woman Killed - A woman died in the wreckage of her small foreign car which was involved in a head-on collision with a second vehicle on Elgin County Road 45, between Fairview Avenue and Highway 4 Sunday night. Three men were also injured in the mishap. Top photo, the death car sits in a ditch beside the roadway, and lower picture [missing], a Yarmouth Township volunteer firefighter pours water on the second vehicle, which spilled gasoline onto the road from ruptured fuel lines."

Black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published September 9, 1978 with caption: "Surveying Damage - James E. Jenkins of 230 Main Street, Belmont, investigates dmage done tohis house after a runaway gravel truck slammed into the front of it. The truck was empty at the time. Mr. Jenkins says the home's concrete foundation was responsible for preventing the vehicle from crashing throughthe house. The truck owned by Ruckle Construction Limited of Brownsville, tore a large gap in the home's front, but there was no damage to beams located near the point where the truck knocked a large piece of concrete from the foundation. Pictured looking on are, from left to right, Mrs. Madeleine Jenkins, a niece, of RR 2 Belmont and Ella Martin, a neighbour."

Horton set a new league record by piling up 122 points (65 goals, 57 assists) this season, 20 points better than the old standard." (26k)
