R13 S3 Sh6 B2 49a was published in the Rodney Mercury on May 13, 1976, with the caption: "Arbor Day was observed at Aldborough Public School Friday when 13 trees - 11 varieties - were planted. Here Mrs. Betty King's grade 3 class plants one of two Linden trees contributed by Rodney Kiwanis Club. Representatives Maurice Mistele and Bill Preiksaitis dug the hole for the tree, with each class member having the opportunity to replace some of the dirt. The tree was planted behind the school, in the playground equipment area. Eleven of the trees were purchased with funds earned at the Christmas Concert, and included horse chestnut, catalpa, sycamore, mountain ash, silver maple, locust, Russian Olive, serviceberry or Saskatoon, a gingko and two fall pear trees. The gingko is the oldest known tree in the world, being found originally in China, with the largest one in North America growing on Elm St., St. Thomas. Fruit from the pear trees will be students to eat, when the first are produced in three or four years."

Scope and Content
Three black-and-white negative photographs featuring children playing in the snow at Aldborough Public School, on January 28, 1982.
R13 S3 Sh6 B3 427a was published in the West Lorne Sun on February 4, 1982, with the caption: "Aldborough Public School students are having fun in their forts daily at recesses and noon. A snowdrift was created behind a snow fence, with Saturday norning's mild spell creating a good crust, which permits pieces to be broken and piled. Others burrowed into the bank, but it is too cold to make snow balls."
R13 S3 Sh6 B3 427b was published in the West Lorne Sun on January 28, 1982, with the caption: "Aldborough Public School students enjoy playing in the snow at recesses and noon hours, having built several forts and some have burrowed into the big snow drift which formed on the east side of the snow fence along the west end of the parking lot. Saturday's rain and 40F weather, which was followed by freezing temperatures, made a thick crust on the snow which permitted students to chop big pieces of snow out of the drift to pile and make forts."
