Digitized copy of St. Thomas Times-Journal article published July 21, 1916 concerning the Peace Day celebration held in St. Thomas, on Saturday, July 19, 1919, in which veterans of the 91st Battalion, C.E.F. and other servicemen from Elgin-St. Thomas were welcomed home. The article includes photographs taken by photographer John Jackson and the Scott Studio. Article also includes description of injuries suffered during the celebrations by Sergeant-Major Albert H. Powles, M.M. as a result of a fireworks accident, along with a photograph of Powles.
