"Makes Point Clear - H. A. (Bud) Olson, federal minister of agriculture, emphasizes a point during a question and answer period Saturday at the annual Elgin Liberal Association Beef Barbecue. More than 750 turned out for the event to hear the minister defend farm policy. A delegation of the National Farmers' Union was on hand to criticize policies." (8a)
"Farmers Protest to Minister - When the Federal Minister of Agriculture, H. A. (Bud) Olson took to the platform Saturday to answer questions on farm policy about 35 members of the National Farmers' Union held up placards protesting the government's stand. Mr. Olson answered questions from the farmers in defence of his government's position and explained what steps were being taken to correct problem areas." (8b)
