Ald. Helen LeFrank, chairman of the meeting, and Jim Bromley, president of Local 114, Ontario, Public Service Employees' Union, representing the workers, assist the veteran Conservative MPP, who has been outspoken in his criticism of the way the Davis government has handled the cutbacks. Scope and Content
One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 21, 1964, with caption:
"Mr. and Mrs. Ronald's triplets - Mrs. James Ronald, of 207 Ross Street, presented her husband with a Christmas gift Saturday morning at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, giving birth to triplet sons. The proud father is shown above catching a glimpse of the infants in incubators in the maternity section of the hospital this morning. The babies, as yet not definitely named, left to right, are third-born, 4 lbs., 5 oz; first-born, 5 lbs., 6 oz.; and second-born, 4 lbs., 9 3/4 oz." (3a)
One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published May 8, 1965, with caption:
"Dinner for three, please - Things at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Ronald are done in threes these days, for three baby boys mean three healthy appetites - and every one of them craves food at approximately the same time. So - Mrs. Ronald finds an arrangement like this is ideal. That is Robbie enjoying a bottle of his favorite beverage, while Terry (left) and Steven (right) enjoy a pre-lunch siesta. Mother is prepared though, in case of a sudden demand."
Later reused in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 19, 1977, with caption:
"Triple feeding - At five months, the Ronald triplets were quite a handful for their mother Mrs. Janet Ronald of St. Thomas. Pictured from the left are Terry, Robbie, and Steven." (3b)
"Time out for baking - Cooking is one of Mrs. James Ronald's favorite household tasks, and even with three active baby boys to care for, she finds time to bake her own bread, and scores of other delicacies. Here she turns out a batch of cinnamon buns for a supper-time treat. Robbie, an interested spectator, appears a bit disgusted at his mother's explanation that he's not old enough yet to eat them. But - he seems to be warning - there'll come a day!" (3c)
"The diaper detail - The Ronald triplets, Steven, Robbie and Terry, like every other baby in the world, use lots of diapers, so a daily chore for their mother, Mrs. James Ronald, is folding them in readiness for 'changing times'. Seven dozen are used every two days and that's a lot of folding - and changing." (3d)
One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published November 1, 1967, with caption:
"Treat for triplets - The 2 1/2-year-old triplet sons of Mr. and Mrs. James D. Ronald, 57 Fifth Avenue, made their first 'trick or treat' call on the home of their neighbor Jack Maloney, 59 Fifth Avenue, last night. The toddlers are (from left) Ste[v]en, Robbie and Terry." (3e)
One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published September 2, 1969, with caption:
"A triple good-bye kiss - 'We don't have time to go through this every morning,' triplets Steven, Terry and Rob seem to be saying to their mother, Mrs. Jim Ronald. But the first day of kindergarten is a special thing for a mother, especially when she 'loses' her entire family all at once." (3f)
One black and white photograph used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published December 19, 1977, with caption:
"Thirteen today - The Ronald triplets, the children of Mr. and Mrs. James Ronald of 57 Fifth Ave. arecleebrating their thirteenth birthday today. They were born at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital and are presently in Homedale Senior Elementary School. Pictured from the left are, Steve, Rob, and Terry." (3g)
One black and white photograph of the Ronald triplets playing floor hockey used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published ca. 1977. (3h)
One black and white photograph of the Ronald triplets used in St. Thomas Times-Journal article published ca. 1980. (3i)
