Scope and Content
Two black and white photographs included in the Clachan Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History, Volume Three, page 52:
Alexander Gibb Campbell (Regimental Number: 193283), born May 11, 1897 in Rodney, enlisted on August 23, 1915. Campbell served at the Battle of the Somme, where he was shot three times, and later in the spring offensive at Passchendaele. He was discharged on May 10, 1919, and later married and had two children. He passed away on June 24, 1980 at the age of 83 [52a];
The R.M.S. Empress of Britain, on which Campbell sailed for England, leaving Toronto on May 17, 1916 and arriving in England on May 31, 1916 [52b];
