" Regular uniforms were abandoned this week as the staff and students of AVSS did battle in a hockey game which the teachers won by an 8-4 margin. Tony Mitchell, boys' physical education teacher and coach, was definitely a member of the staff team despite efforts to disguise himself otherwise. He was one of a number of teachers wearing various 'uniforms.' " (11a)
" A team of students bowed to the teaching staff of AVSS in a hockey game this week despite the added strength of a number of girls who played with the team. The teachers won by an 8-4 margin. Some of the girls who played, right to left, are : Jane Foster, Karen Crossett, Sherry Fuke, Louise Herbert and Gail Mann. Missing is Judy Matthews." (11b)
