Michigan Central Railway (MCR) Park and Station, St. Thomas, ca. 1930s. Photograph taken from the roof of the YMCA, on the southeast corner of Talbot and Ross Streets. The Queen's Hotel, the abandoned St. Thomas Brewery Building (Skeleton), Grace United Church (spire and roof only), Thayer's gas station, and the Michigan Central Railway shops (built in 1913, now the site of the Elgin County Railway Museum) are visible. Note the elaborate, multi-tiered bird house at the top of a light standard at the centre of MCR Park. The YMCA playground can be seen in the foreground.

He died while serving with the R.C.A.F. in the Second World War on April 9, 1944 at the age of 26.

Studio portrait, possibly of Flight Lieutenant William Joseph Allison, a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force. F/L Allison was probably photographed while at the R.C.A.F. No. 1 Technical Training School, St. Thomas, the R.C.A.F. No. 14 Service Flying Training School, Aylmer, or the R.C.A.F. No. 4 Bombing and Gunnery School, Fingal, ca. 1940. He was born on December 1, 1915 to William Earle and Mary Ruth Allison of Montreal, and died on November 20, 1944 at the age of 28 while fighting with the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War.
