"Hard at work - Alberta's lead Darrel Sutton, left, and vice Ronald Anton guide a rock down the ice during fourth-round action at the London-St. Thomas Brier Tuesday. (24d2)

On the shot, Paul Savage attempted to knock Wight's shot rock out of the house, and stay for a single point. The shot, however, was heavy, and did not hit the Newfoundland stone squarely, and the Ontario rock slid through the house. "Winning shot - Members of the Alberta rink raise their arms in victory after skip Hec Gervais made a superb take out shot on his final shot in the 12th end.
