Black and white photograph showing C.S.M. W. Anson Moore, Shedden, killed in action in the Second World War. Notes included in the Shedden Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History Book, Volume 1: "W. Anson Moore was born at Shedden on September 14, 1918, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Moore. He was with his father on the farm until he enlisted on January 8, 1940 in the Royal Canadian Regiment. He went overseas on June 10, 1940. He trained in England, being promoted to corporal and then to sergeant. In 1943 he was transferred and saw action in Sicily and Italy. He was killed in action in Italy on September 16, 1944."
