One black and white photograph of Pte. Duncan Tait. Included in the Crinan Women's Institute Tweedsmuir History, Volume One.
Information from Crinan Tweedsmuir History: Private Duncan Tait was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Tait. He enlisted on March 20, 1941 with the Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps and served until January 21, 1946.
Information from Harley Lashbrook, "West Elgin at War: Letters, Stories and Pictures of Local Men and Women in our Armed Forces in the 2nd World War", p. 333: "Private Duncan Alexander Tait, A64366. Son of Thomas and Jane (Gilchrist) Tait. Enlisted March 21, 1941, Chatham. Trained at Camp Borden, London and in England. Served with Canadian Advanced 3rd Division Ordinance and 92nd Field Park. Served in Belgium, Holland and Germany. Battles - Cleeve, Calcar and Rhine River and Emerick. At war's end he was sent back to England where he boarded the Queen Mary for the return trip to New York."
